German-Arab Health Conference

On Thursday, the 18th of October, Juergen Hogrefe, Chairman of hogrefe Consult joined the German-Arab Health Conference in Berlin, that has been held by the German Healthcare Partnership (GHP). Co-organizers were the Ghorfa – Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Near and Middle Est Initiative (NMI) of BDI.

High level representatives from the German and Saudi Government such as the Minister of the Economy and Energy, Brigitte Zypries and H.E. Dr. Khalid Al Shaibani, Deputy Minister for Planning and Health attended the conference to provide key-notes on the topic. Representatives of German and Saudi healthcare companies, and members of the German health research landscape also provided speeches and jointed this unique networking opportunity.

Juergen Hogrefe negotiated on options for cooperation between German companies from the field of pharma production and potential Saudi partners.

The conference programme focused on four main topics.:

  • healthcare regulation,
  • privatization in healthcare,
  • diagnostics & digitalization,
  • new delivery models to support population health.
